Greeting I'm Chris

I’ve been Dungeon Mastering for since 2024, running a mix of one-shots and ongoing weekly campaigns. I specialize in online and in-person games designed to be welcoming to brand-new players while still engaging and satisfying for seasoned veterans. My sessions emphasize strong storytelling, memorable characters, and immersive presentation, including 3D-printed terrain, custom props, and tactile battle maps that help bring the world to life at the table.

Outside of D&D, I’m a passionate worldbuilder, miniature painter, and 3D printer enthusiast. I also enjoy outdoorsy and hands-on hobbies like camping, hiking, archery, historical European martial arts (HEMA), and Renaissance fairs. All of which tend to sneak their way into the tone and texture of my games. I love blending the physical and imaginative to create experiences that feel grounded, cinematic, and alive.

My Play Style

My DMing style is character-driven and cinematic, with a strong focus on roleplay and narrative. I enjoy running games where player choices matter and have real consequences, whether in combat, social encounters, or long-term story arcs. Victory feels sweeter when it is earned, and puzzles and challenges are most satisfying when players feel clever and accomplished for solving them.

I generally follow the rules of the system, with a consistent set of homebrew tweaks and occasional rule-of-cool moments when they serve the story without breaking balance. I keep over-the-table hints to a minimum, preferring to let players engage with the world, think through problems, and discover solutions on their own. My games typically live in the space of epic fantasy, swashbuckling adventures, clever heists, and high-stakes moments, with room for humor, heart, and chaos when it fits the table.

My Values as a DM

Above all, I strive to create a table that is welcoming, inclusive, and respectful. Clear boundaries matter, and I take player comfort and consent seriously. At the same time, I believe great stories can challenge us, push us out of our comfort zones, and invite us to explore new perspectives in a safe, collaborative way.

I care deeply about collaboration, creativity, communication, and mutual respect at the table. D&D is a shared story rather than a performance or competition, and I work to ensure every player feels heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful choices. I love teaching new players and helping people feel confident stepping into the hobby, regardless of experience level.

Why D&D is Important to Me.

I first discovered Dungeons and Dragons through Critical Role during the long nights of taking care of my newborn daughter. In those quiet, exhausting hours, I was drawn to the creativity, excitement, and genuine emotional resonance that the game provided. What started as entertainment quickly became something much more meaningful.

Throughout the following years, D&D has been a constant presence in my life. It has been a source of creativity, connection, and community during times of change and uncertainty. For me, D&D is more than just a game. It is a shared creative space where people can explore ideas, take risks, and discover new sides of themselves in a supportive environment. That sense of connection and shared storytelling is what I strive to bring to every table I run.
